ABU Direct Security to enforce Compulsory use of face Mask on all Campuses

The management of Ahmamu Bello University (ABU) Zaria has directed the university security personnel to strictly enforce compliance of compulsory use of face mask on all the University campuses.

The directive comes as the university management introduces the compulsory use of face mask by every individual (including visitors) within all the campuses of the University.

The policy announced on Wednesday, 20th May, 2020, is as a result of the changing trend in the strategies to curb the spread of COVID- 19 which include social distancing, hand washing, use of hand sanitizers and face masks.

the management of the university has deemed it necessary to emphasize the compulsory use of face mask by every individual (including visitors) within the campuses of the University.

“Staff, students, and visitors are kindly requested to adhere to this policy for the safety of all. The university security personnel have been authorized to enforce compliance.”

Recall that sequel to the directive by the federal government and the national universities commission directing universities in the country to close doors immediately in an attempt to manage the COVID19 outbreak, the management of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria has closed down the university on March 20th.

All the campuses of the university are currently been sanitized in anticipation of a new directive from the federal government to reopen educational institutions in the country.
