Just in: FPE Set to Resume Academic Activities Amidst All Odds
The Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun State, have set to re-open the institution for academic activities on 17th November 2020.
Prior to the memo release on November 2nd 2020 duly signed by the school registrar, about the postponement of academic activities as the result of nationwide #endsars activities and the need to put in place adequate covid 19 protocols.
Student Union, Stakeholders, Students came out in mass to show their grievances over the Asup/Management crisis, which was the pertinent reason why academic activities was postponed.
The institution gate was shut down by the students and no vehicular movement was allowed for eight(8) days. SU, Stakeholders and Students vows not to relent until the academic activities restored.
On Friday 13th 2020 the school management released a memo duly signed by alhaji I.T. Agboola the school registrar stating that.
The Academic Board at its emergency meeting on Friday 13th November, 2020 deliberated on the probable date for reopening of the polytechnic for academic activities and resolved as follows:
- Halls of residence should re-open for students on Sunday 15th November 2020.
- The polytechnic should re-open on Monday 16th November 2020.
- Lecture commences on Tuesday 17th November 2020.
Deans and Heads of departments are enjoined to bring the content of this decisions extract to the attention of the staff and students as well as ensure strict compliance to the resumption schedules.
